WEAVALIOUS

Yes baby doll ya girl is now rocking a weave. About a year ago that was not a possibility for me. My how time and pressure changes things. My guy hates my natural hair. I am surprised he has not given me a relaxer in my sleep. But he really hated the bald fade so he will take the nappy over no hair at all. Then there is the whole thing I deal with about not feeling sexy or cute with a bunch of short nappy hair. My hair is very course, super dry, insanely thick, zig zag curl pattern and surprisingly really fragile. My hair breaks very easily. My hair is so thick that getting a comb through it when it is dry is only asking for trouble. Actually I don’t know what I am going to do when it grows out. It will be so much hair it will be hard to tame. But I think next summer I’m going back to a low hair cut… not a bald fade but a low cut.

Presently I am feeling this weave. It is from All About My Hair and it is kinky curly (kc) this hair is much nicer than my real hair but it is as close as I’m going to get . My hair actually blends well and the look is very much me. The hair is soft to the touch and love moisture just like my real hair. This is my first sew in weave and the first two days were difficult. The guy sew the hair in tight. The braids were not tight but once he put the thread and hair on it was very tight. It felt like I had a head full of braids. After two days the pain went away but the itching started. Wow the itching was no puck. I was scratching my head every two seconds. Some braid spray with tea tree oil seemed to soothe the scalp a little bit. Then the itching started again and I took a pen cap and started scratching in between the parts. My research indicates that this is not uncommon for sew in weaves. I was told to rub some sea breeze on my scalp, trust me I will. This itching is crazy, I never knew this was one of the side effects of sew ins. So two days of pain and two days of itching. I was told once the weave get a bit more loosened that the itching will stop.

If this does not stop I will be forced to take it out. I cant tolerate all this damn itching too much longer!
